RCC Newsletter – 30 November 2010

Once or twice a month, we send out an email update on cycling in Richmond. If you’d like to sign up for these, contact us here.

We also post the newsletters here on our website. Read below and enjoy! Previous newsletters can be found here.

The council is asking all its residents for their views in an ‘all-in-one’
survey.  This is an opportunity for all of us to let the politicians know
what we feel about our roads, our parks, our towpaths, our borough.  Let
them know how you feel about the cycle provision in the borough, about what
you would like to see changed and about the things that would improve
everyone’s lives.  Please do try to complete the survey.  Every household
should have received a letter and you can get replacement letters at the
libraries and from the council.  You can also fill in the survey online…

Thames Water are consulting on an expansion of the sewers which will exit at
the fields in Barn Elms.  More details are available here…

BikeAware is a campaign to change the driving test to include a module on
cycle training.

Monthly Meeting
Our next monthly meeting is on Monday 13th December at the Old Ship pub in
Richmond at 20:00.  We meet in the bar and then head upstairs.  Come along
and speak to the new campaigns coordinator, Nick Tittle.  He has taken over
the good work done by Alastair Barr who has had to stand down because of
work commitments.  Alastair has done a great deal of work over the past year
and RCC would like to thank him very much for all the time and effort he has
put into the campaign.  If you would like to do the same, you can email him
on it@richmondlcc.co.uk, as he has taken on the IT role.

December Rides
Normal service will be resumed in the new year, as our rides coordinator is
taking some well earned time off.  Thanks to Paul for all his rides this
year, email him at rides@richmondlcc.co.uk to say thank you.
