Next weekend sees the beginning of Bike Week and Twickenham Cycling Club and LBRuT have organised a BikeFest (http://wp.me/pSDFw-FX), taking place in Old Deer Park in Richmond from 12:00 – 16:00.  Richmond Cycling Campaign is leading a ride and providing an information stall.  We need volunteers for the information stall, so if you would like to chat to people about bikes and cycling in Richmond then reply to this email.  Volunteers get a free t-shirt and lunch.

Monthly Meeting
Next monthly meeting is Monday 13th June at The Old Ship pub in Richmond from 20:00 – 22:00.

We will be discussing the LCC name change, TfL’s work at Blackfriars and how it affects work on the A316, the LBRuT traffic management group and other changes at the council.

We cycle through Crane Park and search out green spaces through Feltham on the way to the Nature Park created from old gravel workings.
About 8 miles. Back about 12.00

Circumnavigate the whole borough by bicycle in one day.  There will be two rides:
Meet at 09:00
Richmond Bridge SW side, corner of Willoughby Road, approx 20 miles
Ride the loop and end for lunch on the east bank of the Thames
Meet at 13:30
On the riverbank, immediately to the south of Richmond Bridge on the east side of the river, just by Bridge House Gardens, approx 18 miles.
Ride the loop, then end back at Richmond for a drink

Maintenance Workshops
The Twickenham Maintenance session on the 22nd June has been cancelled as we’re off to the Roebuck on Richmond Hill to greet our neighbouring campaigners who are taking part in the annual South West bike week evening solstice ride.  The workshop starts again in July on the 27th but starts at the earlier time of 19:00 finishing at 21:00.

22nd June – Roebuck evening drink from 20:00 onwards.  Come and have a drink at the Roebuck to meet cyclists from Wandsworth, Ealing, Kingston and Hammersmith.  Get in touch if you fancy a quick ride beforehand.
