Hello,

Police Blitz on Pavement Cycling in Richmond Upon Thames
23rd August is an advisory day where the police will issue leaflets.  This will be followed by a day of action when pavement cyclists will be fined.

The post above details guidance from the Home Office about issuing penalties for cycling on the pavement.
There is some interesting comment on pavement cycling in this blog post…

Rides
Saturday 20th August – Rides for Everybody. – PYO Apples.
Meet Bushy Park Fountain Car Park 10.10. A bit earlier than usual as a slightly longer ride and to allow time for fruit picking. We cross the Thames and take a back route past Sandown Park to Garsons Farm in West End. Time for PYO then return. 12 miles but fairly flat (a short cut on return involves a short steep hill – worth pushing)

Sunday 4th September – Ride to the London Skyride
http://www.goskyride.com/London
We are planning to lead two rides from Richmond in to central London to join the Traffic Free loop. These will be at 9.30 and 10.30 from Richmond Green. For this we desperately need marshals to ride with and look after the group of cyclists. If you would like to be a marshal, please contact:
