1) 17th and 18th Century Style

the famous view from Richmond Hill.

Richmond Park and White Lodge

Isabella Plantation with spectacular displays of rhododendrons etc.

Strawberry Hill (1750) the “plaything house” of Horace Walpole , novelist, politician aesthete and gossip.

The Orleans House gallery with the delightful Octagon (1720)

Marble Hill House , a perfect Palladian villa built in 1724 for the Countess of Suffolk.

 

 

 

 

 

2) Crane River Ride

This route follows the River Crane from its confluence with the Thames where it forms the boundary with Hounslow through Twickenham, Kneller Gardens and Crane Park. Then we loop back on the south bank, dipping into Hounslow, before cutting through Twickenham to the Thames which we follow back to Richmond.An amazingly rural ride . Watch out for birds including kingfishers.

 

 

 

 

 

3) Around Hampton Court

Starting from Strawberry Hill station visit Bushy Park and Hampton Court and enjoy the riverside.

4) Mortlake and Putney
